Not to sound like a broken record, but it’s crazy that at the tender age of eighteen we are expected to make a decision about our careers. What’s arguably even more crazy is the pressure to stick to be constant in that decision in a world where the only constant thing is change.
The last few months of the final year of high school, energy that has been bubbling under for two or three years increases in intensity. By the time you're back home from a pen's down party, you are bombarded with questions about who you want to be. At the tender age of EIGHTEEN!
It should not be that your career choice equals who you want to be, but unfortunately that's how we understand it. Not anymore.
This month we’ll be looking at careers including evaluating which field or industry is right for the you that exists today and how to negotiate your salary.
It’s also worth noting that in the West things such as The Great Resignation have been happening, as well as the Lying Flat movement in China. How do we feel about work overall and is having a career even still a thing? All this and more will be explored this month.
